I got to paint with the other plein air painters of Norther Colorado at the Gardens on Spring Creek this weekend. The cactus garden usually calls me, and right now these torch lilies are pretty fabulous, I landed next to them right away. I don't usually do a practice first - I like to dive right in - but I knew I wanted to paint a big one so it felt like I should practice a little first. *for sale at Trimble Court Artisans in Old Town Fort Collins, Colorado. *frame not included.
