Media: Oil On panel
Size: 6x8 in
This kitty wanted to keep her distance! I usually go for portraits, but in this case, I was even more drawn to the sheer plasticity of the pose -- those tucked hips, the tension in her shoulders, that steady, watchful stillness. Even though I ended up having less space on my panel for the details of the face, I feel like the curves of her beautiful silhouette added to the expressiveness of her presence.
