Media: Oil on a SHEET OF PRIMED CANVAS
Size: 8x6 in
This is a little study painted on a SHEET OF PRIMED CANVAS (not a panel or stretched), and as such, it is priced accordingly. You can easily mount it on a board yourself, or just place it in a frame with a rigid backing board to support it. You can see there are scraps of tape on each side of the canvas; these were to keep the sheet of canvas secured to the board I had propped up on my easel. (This board is not included with the painting.) I have removed the tape and painted all edges of the sheet of canvas. After taking Arthur Gain's figure painting workshop, I'm doing more figure studies. This is a little 6x8" study painted from one of the reference photos that Mr. Gain provided for his students for the class. I don't pretend to possess his genius for painting; I'm going to review the workshop (which is available online) to study more.
