Desert Homage was started outside plein air and then finished in the studio. Getting those details in perfectly required some sit down and patience. This is the view at my parents house in Cave Creek Arizona. I have looked at this same view for decades and it never disappoints. Look through the Mesquite Tree and see the Saguaro in the distance through the atmosphere. The shade of that Mesquite tree was still wonderful even though is was early spring.
