On a very hot summer afternoon I wandered the paths on the mountain hunting for a place to plein air paint. As I looked around I turned and spied this restful place with trees shading the clearing making the temperatures several degrees cooler than the surrounding area. It was truly a mountain oasis and made an unbearably warm day very enjoyable.
