The old saying goes that “April showers bring May flowers”, but where I garden in Alabama it makes more sense to say that February showers bring March flowers. I picked these at the end of March from my garden. The azaleas, daffodils, and hellebores are regulars, but the redbud blooming was a surprise. It had ‘volunteered’ at the edge of my natural area and I did not notice it until it bloomed this year.
