Media: watercolor mounted on birch panel with 1 1/2 in
Size: 12x12 in
Fishing boats are a comon site on the eastern NC waterways and always great subject matter! These boats were painted using the process of poured watercolor! This is a process /strategy of using mask/resists to block out areas where you do not want the paint to go. Between the stages/ layers of mask, I pour watercolor (using the 3 primary colors) which mixing together on the paper without a brush! A the end of the process, there is always a little tightening up using a brush! This painting is mounted on a birch panel with a profile of 1 1/2 inch. Thanks for taking a look!
