I'm Darla Calhoon-Rice, an artist working primarily in oil paint.  My work blends minimalism with emotion-rooted in reflective moments, subtle color, and natural forms.  I'm drawn to the depth and richness that oil offers, allowing me to explore texture,  light, and  atmosphere in a way that feels both grounded and expressive.  

I paint from my studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma and my work has been featured in regional shows and galleries.  I was honored to receive Best of Show in the A.R.T.  Juried Art Show and Competition two years in a row (2024 and 2025), a recognition that continues to inspire my creative journey.
