Who can resist the sweet, soulful gaze of such a face? This melancholy bulldog is my largest pastel piece to date. Working on this project was a joy. Once I had completed his eyes and adorable pout, it felt like I had a dear companion in front of me while completing the rest of the portrait! "Bully Blues" was on display at the "Paws on Love" exhibit held at the Tifton Museum of Arts & Heritage September 10-29, 2017. I'm thrilled that he earned a spot in this unique show featuring the wonderful world of dogs and brought home the 1st place blue ribbon in the 2D art category!
