Here’s my finished painting “Sunkissed” on view at The Music Studio in Beaumont for their annual “The Art of Flowers” show. I don’t paint a lot of florals, but each year I try to challenge myself to do something different for this exhibit. I got a late start due to spending most of my time prepping for my upcoming solo exhibit at the Longview Museum of Fine Art. Wednesday morning I started this 48” x 48” canvas, my largest flower painting ever. I couldn’t resist the warm yellow, orange, and reddish hues against cool greens, blues and violets of the background. "Sunkissed" is a 48" x 48" oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas. The sides are painted neutral grey and the canvas is wired and ready to hang.
