This Cairn painting is a few years old. Each time I saw it, I felt something was off-it seemed unbalanced. Last week, while taking my granddaughter to the library, she pointed out the moon during the day. The painting is visible as soon as I walk into the studio, and the next day, inspired by that moment, I added the daytime moon to it and brightened the sky. It was such a simple fix, but I believe it brings a sense of balance to the piece.
