This image is from a walk last fall in the Mashomack Preserve, over 2,000 acres of beautiful and wild landscape just a ferry ride away from us. We had to keep moving in order to do the circuit we wanted to, because the light set so early that time of year. I'm excited to see it in the summer, when the flora will be in full glory. As it was, the quiet of the fall season held it's own wonder.
